No tang zhong, no cream cheese, no potato, but still soft as a pillow!
This is actually an adaptation from Panasonic SD-P104: Black Sesame Loaf 黑芝麻吐司.
270g bread flour
30g AP flour
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp instant yeast
50g black sesame powder
205g liquid, consisting of 1 medium egg, 70g milk and the rest water. The proportions are not fixed, it can be a little more of this and a little less of that.
The dough proofed very well and was not sticky at all.
Bake at 180ºC for 22 mins.
Very fragrant and just about sweet enough. The burnt cheese on top is an added bonus!
Light, tender, soft and airy. It really was just like a pillow.
